TORTOISE AND THE HARE
FOR SOLO FLUTE, SOLO TUBA, AND CONCERT BAND

This light hearted neoclassical piece tells the story of the Aesop fable featuring the solo tuba and solo flute in the lead dramatic roles of tortoise and the hare. Audiences young and old will enjoy counting off the race with a "Ready!", "Set!", "Go!"on the conductors cue, and congratulating the winner with a big "Hooray!”. The composer has provided an optional short humorous text to be read before the performance.
